Singapore’s cycling community came together once again for OCBC Cycle Singapore 2026, where multiple TAKACHIA bikes were seen riding across the city alongside thousands of participants celebrating fitness, urban mobility, and active lifestyle culture.

Held in the heart of Singapore, OCBC Cycle Singapore 2026 brought cyclists onto fully closed public roads across iconic city routes including the CBD and Benjamin Sheares Bridge. The annual event continues to be one of the most recognised cycling events in Singapore, attracting riders from different cycling communities and riding categories.

This year, TAKACHIA riders participated in both The Sportive Ride (40KM) and The Straits Times Ride (20KM), with riders seen on both the TAKACHIA TIIME Series trifold bikes and the TAKACHIA REDEFINE Series foldtain bikes.

The presence of different TAKACHIA models throughout the event reflected the growing interest in premium folding bikes designed for modern urban lifestyles, fitness riding, and daily commuting in Singapore.

One of the standout moments from OCBC Cycle Singapore 2026 came from Marcus, who joined The Straits Times Ride (20KM) on his TAKACHIA TIIME Series A20 Trifold bike and achieved a personal best speed of nearly 50KM/h during the event.

“I honestly never imagined myself hitting close to 50KM/h on the TAKACHIA trifold bike,” he shared. “What surprised me most was how stable the TAKACHIA TIIME Series A20 Trifold Bike still felt at that speed. The trifold bike remained very easy to control throughout the ride, even on rougher road sections."

Marcus also shared that the overall performance of the TAKACHIA TIIME Series A20 Trifold Bike exceeded his expectations throughout the 20KM OCBC Cycle Singapore route.

“The speed, climbing ability, and overall ride quality of the TAKACHIA TIIME Series A20 Trifold Bike were genuinely impressive. The high-efficiency setup made the ride feel smooth, fast, and comfortable from start to finish, even on uphill sections. I could clearly feel the performance while climbing the slopes of the Benjamin Sheares Bridge.”

Another rider, Daniel, who completed the event on his TAKACHIA TIIME Series A16 trifold bike, also recorded an impressive top speed of nearly 60KM/h during OCBC Cycle Singapore 2026.

It was quite a surprise to reach a top speed of 60 km/h on a small-wheeled TAKACHIA TIIME Series A16 Trifold Bike, and I believe I could go even faster if I fully committed.,” he said. “Honestly, I didn’t expect it to be that easy to reach such high speeds. I think with more training before the event, I might have been able to get a slightly better result with the TAKACHIA TIIME Series A16.”

Proven Performance on Slopes: TAKACHIA A16 Trifold Bike at OCBC Cycle 2026

Among the riders was Ash, who completed The Straits Times Ride (20 km) on his TAKACHIA TIIME Series A16 Trifold Bike in under 1 hour, despite challenging terrain with multiple slopes. 

Despite having a heavy workload leading up to the event, Ash shared that he nearly skipped the ride after sleeping for only 2 hours the night before.

“I was seriously thinking of skipping the event because work has been very busy recently. But now I’m really glad I joined. Everything felt surprisingly easy and smooth. When I saw the bridges and slopes, I initially felt like giving up, but it turned out to be surprisingly effortless to ride up. I’m very happy that I went ahead and completed the ride with my TAKACHIA TIIME Series A16 Trifold Bike. I’ll definitely join the event again next year!
